Remember Moving Schöneberg? That sweet little party in the heart of my Berlin home district Schöneberg, where DJs switched bars in a round-robin-style to bring some party atmosphere back to the district that started Acid House and so much more in Westberlin?
One of the main DJs next to Cedric Solowin aka CHUD-1 always has been Milan Surlan.
SInce faithful Fischlabor days he’s been a part of the earliest Berlin scene and just loves to play. Vinyl Records!
“Der will nur spielen!” like we say in German – about young playful dogs.
And just like a puppy you just gotta love Milan on the decks.
So we are gonna bring some of that good old Schöneberg spirit into Prenzlauer Berg, in revenge to Prenzlauer Berg bringing some new strange spirit to Schöneberg: external double-income pseudo hipster couples with Boogaboos.
Thank God, after all the good clubs died a death of being “too artistic” (aka “LOUD”) for all those new-rich Prenzlberg residents who liked to move into an artistic district in the first place, there’s a small candle of hope for Prenzlauer Berg Club Culture: Phono Club, established by Armin & Mitch of Melting Point record store.
This basement club is LOUD and SAVE: you won’t hear a wink on the street and you’ll be taken your socks off on the dancefloor. That’s good news for Milan and me since we plan to make your socks burn red-hot!
Take it off!!!!
We’re gonna make sure, Good Friday turns out real good!
