As the heat is coming back to the German summer, we all crave for a bit of “Kaltes Klares Wasser”. However when MFS-Berlin boss Mark Reeder asked his artists back in 1993 to do reworks of tracks by the famous all-female German wave band Malaria, I suggested to take a “Milchbad” instead. Together with mixes by Dr. Motte, Westbam, Kid Paul, Paul van Dyk, Stefan Fischer, Sun Electric, 3phase, Moritz von Oswald and Johnny Klimek my version of “Cheerio (Milchbad-Mix)” appeared on Malaria! – Delirium (Remixed • Remade • Remodelled) for the very first time under my moniker “microglobe”. I still love this tune.
