Some of you probably know the book “Der Klang der Familie“, named after the famous track by 3Phase feat. Dr. Motte.
It’s an oral history of the first years of Techno in Berlin, compiled and written by Felix Denk and Sven von ThĂĽlen (of Zander VT fame) out of probably hundreds of interviews they did with witnesses of those, including yours sincerely.
I heard from a lot of my friends and fans who can’t read German, that they would love to read a translated version. I just noticed that there is a translated chapter about famous Tresor Club online at the Red Bull Academy page. Go read about the birth of Tresor HERE!
The original book was released by German publisher Suhrcamp Verlag and is an essential read for everyone, who wants to understand the feeling of the first days of Techno in Berlin, before and after the opening of the wall.
BTW: When you’re on Facebook, follow Der Klang der Familie HERE. They bring constant updates about translations. They just announced a French version.
