Himmelpfort is a special place in Germany – it’s a beautiful small village in the far north of Brandenburg, idyllically surrounded by four lakes and dense forests. The small post office is the official post office of Santa Claus and it is not far from my name home base north of Berlin. Brit Eismann and Tilman Kunowski are raising the flag for cultural activities in this region with their events in the Kulturmühle.
On the weekend from October 1st to 3rd, they will host the first art salon in their Mühle Himmelpfort. Artists from the region will expose their pictures and sculptures and: there will be music. On October 2nd there will be the first appearance of Harald Blüchel aka Cosmic Baby after many many years, playing the first of a series of piano concerts with new piano pieces that he has written in the past years. No electronica here, just an acoustic grand!
On October 3rd there will be electronic, ambient electronica to be precise.
The wonderful Jette von Roth will give a concert, showcasing her latest instrumental ambient compositions. If you are not familiar with her latest works, check her last albums meer and komische welt, both released on her own label roter punkt.
Last man standing will be yours truly, playing a hybrid ambient electronica live & DJ set, just like I did at the last Audiovisual Playground a/v Party at Maze Berlin.
