 Some of you might already have heard it in the clubs: Mijk van Dijk will give his debut on DJ Good Groove’s legendary Frisbee Records label with his “Motherwomb-EP” featuring the tracks “Anticipation” and “Motherwomb”, catalogue number #073. The title refers to Mijk playing around with a sound deep from the motherwomb of Techno: the gate effect! Obviously the gate effect has been horribly abused by 1000s of bad Trance productions over the last 15 years but Mijk’s re-interpretation of “the gate” sounds fresh like a new-born baby. Also, these tracks are dedicated to Mijk’s new-born daughter Maja, who was anticipated very dearly while growing in her mother’s womb.
