Personally, I feel that "The Church Of The Iron Fist" from my collaboration with Claude Young back in 1998 is kind of an underrated track. We composed that on a hot day in Claude's apartment in London. Claude had just got that Latronic Notron Sequenzer that looks like a toilet seat. We connected it to my Access Virus and came up with that magic chord progression.
Lots of decay, lots of reverb and it felt like the organ of a church.
Later, while one of us was working on the track, the other was fighting @james_ruskin, who had just come by, in Tekken, the Iron Fist Tournament on the PlayStation.
And ta-ta, we had a name for our track! Good Times!!!
Only question: which mix do YOU prefer? Claude's or mine?
Who's gonna win the Iron Mix Tournament? 😉
Whichever, you can grab it now on Bandcamp!
