I’m gonna play an Old School LIVE-Set as LoopZone at Tekknozid on February 18th, just like almost 25 years ago. It’s gonna be all live with hardware machines and no strings attached.
The Wizzzard-Party at Quartier (which is now Wintergarten) on February 29th 1992 wasn’t exactly a Tekknozid Party, but organised by Tekknozid head honcho Wolle XDP. DJs were Jonzon and Tekknozd resident Roland BPM.
I played live as LoopZone with my partner in crime Hannes Talirz, all live, all improvising, all energizzzing. Back then there were no laptops yet, so we used drum machines, synths, hardware sequencer and hardware samplers to play hardware Techno. This time again, I’m bringing no laptop, but only hardware machines and will probably play one of my harder sets, only playing tunes from very early 90s and of course a lot of jamming around with the machines and with YOU. It’s gonna be hard, it’s gonna be justified and it’s gonna be ancient.
My fellow DJs will be Olivier Abbeloos & MC Zeno (T99, Quadrophonia/Belgium), DJ Tanith & Wolle Xdp (TEKKNOZID Residents) and Terri Belle & DJ Clé (Planet/Washing Machine) .
Chill Out Area by Ed2000 (Interference).
It wouldn’t be Tekknozid if there wasn’t the legendary “Magic Bassline” provided by Kirsch Audio Sound System, the Oldschool Laser Inferno and the Tekknozid Strobo Hell.
This is the classic flyer from 1992.
