@justmusic.de at Moritzplatz Berlin is closing and I visited that amazing one more time, maybe the last time. Cartons are being packed, displays are being removed and all must go at up to 50% reduction. It’s a sentimental feeling really. I remember going to Just Music’s predecessor Sound & Drumland in Pariser Straße way back in the late 80s without a penny in my pockets, testing the latest synths and drum machines afternoon after afternoon, dreaming of owning a few of these to make music. Later I could afford to just go and buy synths I liked. And still I think a city like Berlin deserves to have a professional musical instruments shop like this, 4 storeys full of keyboards, drums, guitars, trumpets and of course DJ gear. This all will be no more very soon and this is truly sad. It seems almost like a part of me will be gone. Time to move on!
