Thursday‘s Ruanda Adventures Part 2:
a night out at the Inema Arts Center in Kigali. Regularly an exhibition for fine works of Rwandan artists, every Thursday evening it becomes a hot spot meeting point for an internationally mixed crowd of cool young Rwandans, expats and those who know, organized by DJ Guilo (hope I got the spelling right 😇).
The interior as well as the music reminded me a bit of YAAM Berlin.
Music ranged from Reggae, Dancehall, Hip Hop, RnB to even minimalistic Dub Technoish sounds. And of course the Rwandan songs.
Unfortunately the music had to played at lower volume from 11pm and the Party stopped by midnight which didn’t keep people from talking and drinking.
Thank you Luisa, Flori, DJ Guildo and DJ Kiss for this perfect evening.
Now I cannot wait for my own DJ Set tomorrow at Mamba Kimihurura.
