The Köln Concert… is a perfect soundtrack for an easy Sunday afternoon.
I’ve been listening to this live recording from the Opera House in Cologne 1975 so many times over the last decades, the mere sound of the recording became a part of my inner musical system. When Keith Jarrett hums and sings along to his very rhythmical improvisations this almost reminds me of the flow in Manuel Göttsching’s master piece E2-E4, that I posted last Sunday.
It’s great Ambient music, period!
If you don’t own this precious recording, of course it’s on YouTube.
So do it like Mijk does: let this music dwell through your home today and read the amazing story behind it >>HERE<<.
Like: did you know that this concert was organized by 17-year-old Vera Brandes, then Germany’s youngest concert promoter?
I wish you all a relaxed Sunday!
