Mijk van Dijk Classic DJ Set at The Promised Land

On June 13th 2015 I played a classic Techno DJ set at The Promised Land Open Air Festival in Spaarnwoude/ The Netherlands. I was impressed by the familiar feeling within the audiance and you could really tell, that all of these people have been celebrating on Techno music already 20 years ago and still feel it.
For me it was not just the first gig in the Netherlands since ages but also family reunion with my cousion Hans.
And despite the cold weather it was a lovely and warmhearted day, spend together with Dr. Motte, who would finish the open air with his set after mine.
Next to Motte and me, there was a who-is-who-of-Dutch-Techno-House-DJs listed on the line-up: Jaydee, Remy, Fierce Ruling Diva, Alexander Koning, Gizmo, Dano, just to name a few.
Such an honour to play there!

 
A big thank you to Manon, Yvette, Aarnt, Jerry, Mike and everybody else, who took such good care of us and to Kerstin and Ellen from praxxiz Booking for making this happen.
Luckily I recorded my set and as you can hear I couldn’t help but end with the Joe Smooth classic “Promised Land” – the motto made me do it! Enjoy listening!
