Decade-themixandthetracks“It was 10 years ago today, Tobias Lampe told Mijk van Dijk to play…”
Well, of course this is not about Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, it’s about 10 years after 10 years of Superstition.
10 years ago, Superstition released their final compilation, mixed and mashed-up by Mijk van Dijk in a unique “Bastard Pop goes Techno” approach.
Launched in 1993, Superstition Recordings quickly became one of the most influential early Techno labels out of Germany. One of their highlight release, was the 10th anniversary album ‘Decade – The Mix’ which showcases their most essential und influential tracks by artists like Mijk van Dijk, Humate, L.S.G. , Quazar, Jens Mahlstedt, Thomas Schumacher and so many more. The digital reissue now includes the full package for the first time: ‘The Tracks’ – a fine selection of more than 30 timeless and essential tunes alongside ‘The Mix’, a fresh and unique mix concept: the sound of Superstition’s first decade, presented in more than 70 minutes breathtaking flow feat. excerpts of 68 essential tracks re-interpreted, re-arranged and mixed by Mijk van Dijk.
We covered the story behind this exceptional release already earlier on this website.
It was also featured on RDIO, which unfortunately is no more.
